Do you worry about increasing screen time of your Child/Children?

Look for the solution rather than punishments. Children need to know how to and what to do in their free time.
Only saying the following phrases won’t help you and child:-
“don’t watch TV
“Don’t play games”
“Stop watching YouTube”
“Keep away all the gadgets”.

Well, one thing we all need to understand that due to all the technological development all over the world, screen time is here to stay. We need to channelise our child to mindful watching. So here is a hands on guide for all the parents.
Expectation setting
>3D view video games before the age 12, can be harmful.
>2D view games and logical puzzles shall be encouraged.
Encourage children to play board games, intellectual games, puzzles from an early age to develop logical thinking abilities. And to keep them away from video games.

Moving further, we parents need to be little careful and mindful while handing over gadgets to our children.
SCREEN TIME IS HERE TO STAY. BUT TO KEEP KIDS SAFE AND HEALTHY, HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO.
>Screen time is not recommended before 2/two years of age.
> Parents should know when it’s too much.
>Understand the full range of media in your child’s life and limit non-school related screen time to under 2 hours per day.
>Don’t give them to eat in front of the tv or other screen. Make meal time......family time.
There are certain rules for screen viewing:-
>Distance rule- 5 times of screen time.
>Illumination rule- 3 times of screen 📺 light.
Remember while no amount of TV viewing will permanently damage your child’s eyes, prolonged viewing can induce temporary eye strain. When TV is on, keep the room adequately lighted . Also make sure the child doesn’t sit too close to the Screen. Remember the formula shared above.

We all are educated and new world parents, just need to be little more alert when it comes to Internet. Internet is exposed to children at an early age. You Tube has become there favourite app. Download You Tube for kids in your phone, pads, smart TV. Now don’t tell me you didn’t knew there is an app you tube kids also.
